Work was done very quickly and recommended improvements implemented. They spent lots of time testing and adjusting the sprinkler heads to ensure full coverage. “This company came to my house. First the scheduled time was 9 - 12. At 1130, I called and asked where the technician was and how long would it be. He was on the other side of the lake. Came over I advised I had to leave. He said, “I can come back or you can leave the garage open.” I chose to leave the garage open. I tipped him before I left. I ask him to check the whole system. He advised it was be an hour and a half. They get paid the whole hour regardless of how much time in spent in that hour. I had already trenched the area around my house that needed new heads to ensure the pipe was not broken. Need less to say. I came house the controller box was open. I thought it was stranger. Me being a mechanic myself. How you leave things are an indication on how things were done. The zone I called about did not work. So, I called the owner David. He advised, he has several complaints on the tech that serviced my house. I advised him of the bill. $600 plus (initial visit). He scheduled a time and came to my house to review the work done by the tech. He advised, “I will not charge a service fee for this visit.” He checked the system and fixed the problem left by the original tech. He started checking the system, then we agree on parts and material of anything found. His technicians was just there. So, I assume it would be minimal. They cut two wires on the system and changed 15 heads on a system they had just worked. The bill came to $550, that’s include the 600. I work from home so I paid and went back to a meeting I was in. The next couple of days I was looking at the bill. The first bill was itemized. The second bill was not. I called the owner and ask what he did and did he only charge me parts (18 heads)? No, he advised he only changed 15 heads. I asked why so much. I told him the heads are only $11 at Lowes. He said, “I upcharge on all material.” That came to $35 a head. The $3 sprinkler at Lowes are $18 from this company. Plus, they charge $150 an hour. I did not know I had a medical doctor doing my sprinkler system. Good guys trying to make a living. I did not know I was paying the complete tab for that. Just ensure you get a quote before they start and get it itemized. Don’t be me $1200 out of pocket for something you could do yourself. And, yes I will do it next time with my grandsons.”
